SCHOLASTICS
At Loyola School Sindagi, our scholastic program is designed to develop students’ academic knowledge, conceptual understanding, and essential skills across all grades, following the CBSE curriculum.
Kindergarten (Pre-primary)
- Subjects: Literacy, Numeracy, EVS, General Knowledge, Hindi, Kannada, Art & Craft
- Learning approach: Play-way method, making learning joyful and engaging
- Literacy skills developed through phonics
- Activities include storytelling, rhymes, games, music, and art & craft
- Participation in competitions to identify and nurture talents
Classes I–V (Primary)
- Core Subjects: English, Hindi, Kannada, EVS, Mathematics
- Teaching methodology: Activity-based, student-friendly
- Focus on developing language proficiency and foundational mathematical skills
- Academic year is divided into two terms:
- Term I: June–October
- Term II: November–March
Classes VI–VIII (Middle School)
- Subjects: English, Hindi, Kannada, Social Science, Science, Mathematics
- Focus: Building conceptual understanding, practical application, and skill development
- Activity-oriented learning continues to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
Classes IX–X (Secondary)
- Core Subjects: English, Hindi/Kannada, Science, Mathematics, Social Science
- Optional Alternatives:
- Painting in place of second language (Hindi) for eligible students
- Mathematics (Basic) for students finding standard Mathematics challenging
- Skill Subject: Information Technology, providing hands-on practical exposure
- Evaluation includes both internal assessments and board examinations
