Our school follows CBSE guidelines and the curriculum issued at the start of each academic year to assess and promote students fairly and transparently.
I. Classes I–V: Term-wise Assessment
- The academic year is divided into two terms Student performance is evaluated across both terms.
- Each term comprises two parts:
1. *Internal Assessment*, which includes:
Periodic Tests
Subject Enrichment Activities
Notebook submission and evaluation
2. Term Examination
- Evaluation covers both scholastic (academic) and co-scholastic (life skills, attitudes, values, and participation) areas to support holistic development.
II. Classes VI–XII: Annual Assessment (CBSE Norms)
- Assessment follows the annual scheme as per CBSE norms: a total of *100 marks* made up of:
Internal Assessment — 20 marks
- Annual Written Examination — 80 marks
- The 20 marks of internal assessment are distributed across four components:
1. Three Periodic Tests— 5 marks
2. Multiple Assessments (classwork, quizzes, oral tests, etc.) — 5 marks
3. Subject Enrichment Activities (practical work, projects, lab work, etc.) — 5 marks
4. Portfolio (project files, assignments, and curated work) — 5 marks
- In addition to scholastic evaluation, the school assesses co-scholastic areas(art, sports, life skills, values, and attitudes) to ensure balanced growth.
PROMOTION POLICY
- Promotion decisions are based on cumulative performance in the prescribed assessments for each class.
- Students must meet minimum passing criteria as per CBSE guidelines in both scholastic and required co-scholastic components.
- Remedial support and counselling are provided for students who need additional help to achieve learning outcomes.
