ASSESSMENT & PROMOTION

Our school follows CBSE guidelines and the curriculum issued at the start of each academic year to assess and promote students fairly and transparently.

I. Classes I–V: Term-wise Assessment
  • The academic year is divided into two terms Student performance is evaluated across both terms.
  • Each term comprises two parts:
  • Internal Assessment, which includes:
    Periodic Tests
    Subject Enrichment Activities
    Notebook submission and evaluation
  • Term Examination
  • Evaluation covers both scholastic (academic) and co-scholastic (life skills, attitudes, values, and participation) areas to support holistic development.
II. Classes VI–XII: Annual Assessment (CBSE Norms)
  • Assessment follows the annual scheme as per CBSE norms: a total of 100 marks made up of:
  • Internal Assessment β€” 20 marks
  • Annual Written Examination β€” 80 marks
  • The 20 marks of internal assessment are distributed across four components:
  • Three Periodic Testsβ€” 5 marks
  • Multiple Assessments (classwork, quizzes, oral tests, etc.) β€” 5 marks
  • Subject Enrichment Activities (practical work, projects, lab work, etc.) β€” 5 marks
  • Portfolio (project files, assignments, and curated work) β€” 5 marks
  • In addition to scholastic evaluation, the school assesses co-scholastic areas(art, sports, life skills, values, and attitudes) to ensure balanced growth.
PROMOTION POLICY
  • Promotion decisions are based on cumulative performance in the prescribed assessments for each class.
  • Students must meet minimum passing criteria as per CBSE guidelines in both scholastic and required co-scholastic components.
  • Remedial support and counselling are provided for students who need additional help to achieve learning outcomes.
